Do you want to make your STOKR account more secure? Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and add an extra layer of protection to your login.
Protecting your STOKR account is our top priority. With 2FA enabled, logging in to STOKR requires both your password and a one-time code from an authenticator app — making it much harder for anyone else to access your account.
What is 2FA?
Two-Factor Authentication adds a second step to the login process. Instead of only entering your email and password, you’ll also need to provide a unique code generated on your mobile device by an authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator).
Why 2FA is important
Two-Factor Authentication significantly strengthens the protection of your STOKR account. Even if a third party has compromised your log-in credentials, they cannot log-in to your account without this the 2FA code generated on your mobile device. This creates a stronger protection of your sensitive account information against unauthorized access and phishing attacks.
How to set up 2FA on STOKR
- Log in to your Investor Dashboard.
- Navigate to Settings > Profile and Privacy.
- Scroll down to “Set Up Your Log In Two Factor Authentication”.
- Toggle the switch to green to start the 2FA setup (you will be asked to log in again with your email and password).
- Download the Authenticator App. If you already have the Authenticator App installed, you can skip this step.
- Open your authenticator app, scan the QR code displayed on STOKR, and click continue.
- The authenticator app is now linked to your STOKR account.
- Enter the 6-digit code on STOKR site and click continue.
- Your 2FA is now active.
From now on, every login will require both your email and password as well as a 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
If you ever wish to disable 2FA, you can do so in your account settings — though we strongly recommend keeping it enabled for your enhanced security.
