Connecting a wallet to STOKR

To receive digital securities from STOKR, you need a Liquid Network-compatible wallet linked to your investor account. STOKR supports two wallets: SideSwap and Blockstream app. SideSwap is recommended as the default option for beginners; Blockstream app is a suitable alternative, including for investors who want to pair a Ledger hardware wallet.

Follow the path below for the wallet you have chosen.

Path A: Setting up and linking a SideSwap wallet

1. Go to the SideSwap wallet website and download the version for your device. Desktop and mobile versions are both available; this guide covers the desktop wallet.
2. Select the correct installer for your operating system (Windows, Mac, or Linux) and complete the installation.
3. Open SideSwap and select "Create New Wallet" if you are setting up for the first time.
4. Review and accept the SideSwap terms and conditions.
5. Set a PIN when prompted, and keep it safe — you will need it every time you access your wallet.
6. Back up your wallet when prompted. SideSwap will display a recovery phrase — write it down and store it securely offline. Backing up immediately is strongly recommended, since your recovery phrase is the only way to restore access to your wallet.
7. Once inside your wallet, locate your AMP ID, shown near the top of the wallet interface. Copy your AMP ID.
8. Go to your STOKR Investor Dashboard, then Settings, then Liquid Address.
9. Paste your AMP ID into the designated field and submit.

Your SideSwap wallet is now linked to your STOKR account.

Path B: Connecting a Blockstream app wallet

1. Download the Blockstream app from your device's app store and open it. Tap "Get Started."
2. Select "Setup Mobile Wallet."
3. From the home wallet view, tap the "Settings" tab.
4. Under the Wallet section, select "AMP ID."
5. Select "Create an AMP Account."
6. Your AMP account is created. Tap "Copy AMP ID."
7. Go to your STOKR Investor Dashboard, navigate to the Liquid Address registration page, and paste your AMP ID into the designated field.

Your Blockstream app wallet is now linked to your STOKR account.
