This article covers the issuer-initiated redemption process: where the issuer configures and triggers a redemption via the Venture Dashboard, and the investor completes it by sending digital securities from their Investor Dashboard.
This process applies to products where redemption is initiated at the issuer's discretion.
How to use this article: This article covers both sides of the process. If you are an issuer, start with Part 1. If you are an investor who has received a redemption request notification, go directly to Part 2.
Part 1: Issuer initiates a redemption
Redemptions are configured in the Distributions tab of the Venture Dashboard. The issuer defines all redemption parameters, selects the investor, and sends a confirmation request. The investor is notified automatically and completes the process from their own dashboard.
Step-by-step
- Log in to your Venture Dashboard.
- Navigate to the Distributions tab. This shows your full payout history.
- Click Add New Payout (blue button, top right).
- In the pop-up, complete all required fields
- Review the preview panel on the right side of the screen. Confirm all details are correct.
- Tick both checkboxes: Send email notification to investor, and Request user confirmation for payout.
- Click Add Payout.
Required fields:

| AMP wallet | View the investor's connected wallet and token holdings. Select the relevant wallet address. |
| Amount to redeem | Enter the number of digital securities to be redeemed |
| Destination wallet | The treasury wallet address to which the investor will send their securities |
| Payout currency | The currency in which the investor will receive their payout (e.g. USDQ, L-BTC) |
| Payout amount | The redemption value to be paid to the investor |
| Period / Date | Use the calendar to select the intended settlement date |
| Internal note | Optional — for internal reference only, not visible to the investor |
What happens next: Once a redemption is added, a confirmation request automatically appears in the Investor Dashboard. The investor will be asked to send their digital securities to the treasury wallet to complete the redemption.
Monitoring the Redemption Status
The redemption now appears as a line item in your Distributions table. Click the item to open the status pop-up, which shows the current status, a full summary, and options to cancel or edit the payout if required.
Once the investor has sent their digital securities to the treasury wallet and they are confirmed received, proceed with releasing the payout to the investor's AMP wallet in the agreed currency and amount.
Part 2: Investor responds to a redemption request
When an issuer initiates a redemption for your holdings, you will receive an email notification and a pending task appears in your Investor Dashboard. You complete the process by sending your digital securities to the treasury wallet provided.
Before you begin
Before you start: Confirm you have access to the AMP wallet holding the digital securities subject to the redemption. If you have lost access, contact support@stokr.io before proceeding. Do not attempt to proceed without the correct wallet.
- Enable 2FA on your STOKR account if not already done
- Confirm your AMP wallet is accessible in SideSwap or Blockstream App
- Check that your KYC is verified on your Investor Dashboard checklist
Step-by-step
- Log in to your Investor Dashboard.
- Scroll down to the Distributions section.
- Locate Pending Tasks / Transactions. You will see an entry marked Redemption Request Received.
- Click View Details.
- A pop-up displays the full redemption details: the number of securities to send, the treasury wallet address, and the payout you will receive.
- Send your digital securities to the treasury wallet: Option A: Scan the QR code displayed in the pop-up using your SideSwap or Blockstream App wallet. OR; Option B: Copy the treasury wallet address and initiate the transfer manually from your wallet.
- Once the transfer is complete, click Done.
- After your digital securities are confirmed received in the treasury wallet, the issuer will release the payout to designated payout address.
