How to withdraw digital securities from Bitfinex Securities

You can withdraw digital securities from your Bitfinex Securities account to an AMP wallet you control. Withdrawals of Liquid Network securities are processed manually by Bitfinex Securities through a support request — there is no automated withdrawal button.

Once withdrawn, your securities sit in your own non-custodial wallet. That is also the wallet STOKR uses for payouts and redemptions, so the step is worth completing even if you do not intend to trade.

Before you start

1. An AMP wallet you control. SideSwap or Blockstream app both support Liquid Network securities. Set the wallet up and back up the recovery phrase before you withdraw. See How to Set Up and Link Your SideSwap Wallet with STOKR or How to connect your Blockstream app.
2. Your AMP ID registered with STOKR. Bitfinex Securities will only release a STOKR-issued security to an AMP ID whitelisted for it. Register your AMP ID in your STOKR dashboard. This requires a verified STOKR account.
3. Your AMP account address and AMP ID to hand. Both are requested on the withdrawal form.
4. The minimum withdrawal amount for your security. Minimums are set by the issuer and differ per security. For BMN2, withdrawals are limited to whole tokens. Check the terms of the security.

Important. The destination must be an AMP account address whitelisted for that security. A standard Liquid address, an exchange deposit address, or any wallet that does not support Blockstream AMP will not work. Securities sent to a non-whitelisted address cannot be recovered by STOKR or by Bitfinex Securities.

Step 1 — Submit a withdrawal request

From inside your Bitfinex Securities account, select the Help icon, then Support Center. Choose Token Withdrawals, then select Withdrawal security tokens from the dropdown. Complete the required fields: token name, amount, transaction address (your AMP account address), subject, and description. Step 2 — Wait for Bitfinex Securities to process the request

Withdrawals are handled manually by the Bitfinex Securities team, so allow a few business days. They confirm the transfer once it has been sent, and reply to the same request if they need anything further.

Step 3 — Check the securities in your wallet

Open the AMP account in your wallet and confirm the securities have arrived. If the balance does not appear, see Troubleshooting missing digital securities and recovering wallet access.

After the withdrawal

Your securities are held in your own non-custodial AMP wallet. Neither STOKR nor Bitfinex Securities holds them or your keys. Two consequences follow: back up your recovery phrase — if you lose access and have no backup, the securities are lost; and payouts and redemptions run through the AMP ID registered with STOKR, so keep that registration current.
